Architectural Design
We will walk you through the entire design process. As we work with you on the design we will make suggestions that we may have. We will also inform you of the code requirements that will be required.
The Design Process
Initial Meeting
We will meet with you to discuss the proposed project. The intent of this meeting is to collect information used to start a preliminary design. At the conclusion of this meeting we can schedule a preliminary meeting.
Preliminary Meeting
We will meet with you and present the preliminary drawings. These drawings will consist of the floor plan, elevations, and site plan. During this meeting, the designer will walk you through the design, as well as explain any code requirements along the way. This is the phase for changes. The designer will take note of any requested changes and provide any recommendations that he/she may have. It is the goal of the designer to provide the guidance needed to reach the desired outcome. We will conduct follow-up preliminary meetings if needed until the design is approved by the client. Once approved, we will move on to the next stage of finalizing the design.
Finalizing
Once the preliminary design has been approved by the client, our staff will work on completing the final plans. The final plans will consist of everything needed in order to submit for building permits as well as the documents needed for construction estimating. This stage will consist of phases such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, foundation, framing, bracing, and energy efficiency designs.
